Primacy of Contracts and Orders

If you use our website without entering into a contract with us, the applicable statutory requirements will apply. When we offer material for free redistribution, you are permitted to do so provided that you pass on the relevant data, graphics, and files unchanged and include a customary reference to The World Ranking (either via a link or a source reference), unless we expressly state otherwise at the time of providing the material.

Inadmissible Types of Use

Reputation Management

The World Ranking may grant access to its content by releasing HTML or similar code. However, the use of such code in connection with pornographic, racist, or otherwise offensive content is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to terminate any contract if continued use is likely to negatively affect our reputation. In such instances, if you have already paid for services, a proportional refund will be issued.

Contract Formation, Contact Details, and Representation

By registering on our website, you confirm that you are authorized to make declarations on behalf of the entity you represent. You must provide accurate and complete contact and billing information as required to administer and execute the contract. In the event of incomplete or incorrect tax, contact, or billing information – or if you fail to update us with changes promptly – you may be liable for any resulting damages. It is your responsibility to report any change of address or necessary invoice information in a timely manner. Please note that any costs incurred for the preparation of reminders or amendments to your invoicing details may be charged to you.

Taxes and Invoicing

All prices presented during contract formation and in the ordering process are net amounts. The World Ranking will add any applicable taxes or similar government fees as required by law. Should any withholding on payment be necessary, you agree to provide, in due time, a withholding tax certificate along with proof of tax payment. You consent to receiving invoices in electronic format (such as PDF or JPG) or on paper, as per applicable law.

Terms and Price Adjustments

Generally, terms and price adjustments are agreed upon with customers in the contract or as part of the ordering process. In the absence of a specific agreement to the contrary, contracts with The World Ranking are valid for one year and may be terminated by providing six weeks' notice prior to the contract end date. If the contract is not terminated, it will automatically renew for another year at the current price listed on our website.

Liability

The statistical material and data provided on this website may contain errors, omissions, or may be subject to interpretation; files may be corrupted, and transmission paths may fail. As technical systems and interfaces are not infallible, The World Ranking, its team, and its data procurement partners shall only be liable for direct damages arising from intent or gross negligence, and only up to the amount of the contract value. This limitation of liability does not apply if such limitation would violate mandatory statutory requirements (for example, those protecting children, private households, or other national protective regulations).

The World Ranking may include links to third-party websites or reference third-party materials. This does not imply any endorsement, recommendation, or ownership of the content by us. Any claims arising from these links or materials shall be subject to the applicable legal jurisdiction as provided herein.

Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution

To the extent permitted by law, any claims arising from these Terms & Conditions shall be brought in a court located at the business headquarters of The World Ranking (or the headquarters of an affiliated subsidiary).
