As of January 2020, Luxembourg ranked first in the Investment Freedom Index with a score of 95, indicating a high degree of investment freedom. Austria and Denmark secured the second and third positions with scores of 90 each. On the other end of the spectrum, North Korea, Syria, and Venezuela scored zero, reflecting limited investment freedom in those countries.

In January 2021, Luxembourg maintained its first-place position with a score of 95, indicating a continued favorable investment environment. Austria and Denmark remained in the second and third positions, both with scores of 90. North Korea, Syria, and Venezuela maintained their scores of zero.

Moving to January 2022, Luxembourg continued to hold the top position with a score of 95, indicating a consistent investment-friendly environment. Denmark secured the second position, along with Estonia, both scoring 90. Eritrea, North Korea, and Venezuela retained their scores of zero.

As of January 2023, Luxembourg retained its first-place position with a score of 95, signifying a favorable investment climate. Denmark and Estonia remained in the second and third positions with scores of 90. Eritrea, North Korea, and Venezuela maintained their scores of zero.
