According to the Quality of Life Index in January 2021, Lagos, San Jose, and Colombo ranked as the top three cities with the highest traffic commute time and quality of life index. These cities recorded index values of 66.7, 64, and 63.2, respectively, indicating that residents in these areas experienced significant challenges in terms of traffic congestion and commute times, which can impact their quality of life.
Conversely, cities such as Limassol, Regina, and Novi Sad had lower traffic commute times and higher quality of life index values. These cities scored 19.3, 17.2, and 16.6, respectively, suggesting that residents enjoyed shorter commute times and less traffic congestion, contributing to an improved quality of life.
In January 2022 and January 2023, Lagos, San Jose, and Colombo continued to rank high in terms of traffic commute time and quality of life index. These cities maintained their positions with index values of 66.8, 64, and 62.2, respectively. Other cities, including Novi Sad, Regina, and Split, experienced slight fluctuations in their index values over time.
